MEMORIES OF
ST PAULS CHURCH, CWM
Obviously Harvest time.
There was one other venue which regualarly featured in our household, that was "The Mission". It was my father's duty to hold a service in the mission every Thursday evening. Reference is made to "The Mission" in the history but a description of the pemises is not given there apart from recording its acquisition.
The premises was originally a shop. The shop area was converted into a chapel by the removal of the shop windows by them being bricked up. An altar was installed at what was the front of the shop. Facing the altar, to the left, was a small raised pulpit, to the right was a lectern and just in front of the lectern to the right, sited against the wall was a harmonium.
