MEMORIES OF

ST PAULS CHURCH, CWM

mission floor plan

The seating for the congregation was by individual chairs with a holder for prayer and hymn books on the back. There was seating for (I think) about 30 people. The idea was to provide access to services without having to travel to St Pauls, some considerable distance away (plus a steep climb up Cwm bridge) at the other end of town. Remember, car ownership was few and far between in those days. The private living area at the back was let out to tenants, when I was growing up it was to William (Bill) Read, one of my father's brothers.
